Warracknabeal Action Group's Townscape committee has been working closely with Yarriambiack Shire Council to complete these upgrades to make crossing the main street safer.

The wombat crossings were first installed earlier this year and will be finished off with flashing lights next Tuesday.

Between 8am and 4pm, both sides of Scott Street leading up to the crossings will be closed to traffic for around one hour per light installation.

Parking will also be unavailable on both sides of Scott Street near IGA and the Commonwealth Bank during this time.

Detours will be in place with road users urged to use Jamouneau Street and Devereux Street during this period.
