Rupanyup's senior football side will hope to bounce back from their round four loss when they host Taylors Lake this Saturday, May 9.

Both sides are coming off defeats and will hope to get their seasons back on track, with the Panthers currently at 1-3 and the Lakers yet to record a victory after three games.

Giving Taylors Lake optimism is the fact that they’ve seriously challenged each opponent in their losses.

In round four against Pimpinio, Taylors Lake had most of the momentum in the middle quarters and held leads at both halftime and the final break before the Tigers proved too strong in the final quarter.

But the Lakers will have an uphill battle in the middle, with ruckmen Max Kamstra and Mackenzie May both out after suffering round four injuries.

For Rupanyup, midfielders Sam Kamstra and Jimmy Finnigan loom as key players for the home side.

The Panthers will be hoping for a better performance after being outplayed across the park in their 90-32 loss to Kalkee.

Their round two win over Edenhope Apsley and hard-fought loss to Laharum in round three are encouraging indicators that the home side could come away with the four points.
