As the days tick away towards the end of 2024, we look back on the year before we switched out our calendars to start anew in 2025.
In the Horsham District Football Netball League senior grade, it was Harrow Balmoral's year again.
After a 2023 season clear ahead of the pack, the Southern Roos didn't slow down at all in '24.
And, while the Swifts and Noradjuha Quantong stepped things up, neither side could upset the blue and white, which went on to win a second straight unbeaten premiership.
One of the year's best stories came from the Swifts' Paul Summers.
He jumped from the WFNL to the HDFNL and moved from full back to full forward, and all that change saw him kick more than 100 goals.
The resurgence of Laharum was also a shock to some.
The Demons went winless through 2023 but proved almost unstoppable with the momentum at its back in '24.
Pimpinio's under-17s also showed its strength again, claiming a third straight perfect premiership.
Laharum was 2024's dominant force in the A-grade netball, going from perennial runners-up to unbeaten champions.
Rupanyup proved itself a genuine premiership threat and made its first grand final in several decades.
Noradjuha Quantong remained competitive all year, and Kaniva Leeor United was the surprise package.
After a forfeited season in 2023, KLU returned strong and even snuck into finals.
