The Jeparit Rainbow Storm and Southern Mallee Giants working groups met on Tuesday night to discuss name and colours for the newly formed team.
From that meeting they have come up with two options for both the team name and colour.
The team name is a choice between the Southern Mallee Power or the Southern Mallee Thunder.
The colours are a choice between Navy and White (Geelong colours) or Teal, Black and White (Port Adelaide colours).
They are asking members, the wider community and opposition teams to give their opinion and decide the choiceson their social media platforms, Facebook and Instagram.
Opposition supporters have already started weighing in with their sledging on Facebook, with one comment from Jordan Weijburg, "Thunder because you always come second."
