New officer to call the Wimmera home
Warracknabeal Police Station's team continues to grow with new officer First Constable Tia Cumming joining the local force.
Growing up in south-east Melbourne, First Const Cumming has been with Victoria Police for 26 years and spent the last two to three years in Melbourne.
She moved to the country a month ago after the station was after more officers and hasn't looked back since.
"Everyone here is friendly and I do enjoy it here," First Const Cumming said.
"It's definitely different and a change of pace after being in metro for so long."
She is contracted to stay in Warracknabeal for two years but she thinks she will stay longer.
"I really enjoy the lifestyle here," she said.
Committed to fitting into the community, First Const Cumming has signed up to play women's football with Minyip-Murtoa.
"I'm really looking forward to that," she said.
