New Hindmarsh councillors confirmed
Hindmarsh Shire has its new council.

On Friday afternoon the Victorian Electoral Commission announced the four councillors who will join Rosie Barker and Cr Ron Ismay (West ward) as the community’s representatives in local government for the next four years.
The four candidates declared victorious at the competion of vote-counting after the October election are Chan Uoy and James Barry (East ward) and Tony Clark and Roger Aitken (North ward).
Ms Barker and Cr Ismay were elected automatically in West ward after standing unopposed.
The entirely new council will meet next Wednesday, November 13, to choose Hindmarsh Shire’s next mayor.
Of those who governed from 2020 until October this year only Cr Ismay remains in office.
