Musical lineup for Kannamaroo
Kannamaroo Festival 2026 is returning to the banks of the beautiful Wimmera River at an all-new date of April during the school holidays.
So much is new to the festival, but it remains unchanged in one important fact: it is still a free-entry festival, and that makes it even more enjoyable for everyone to attend.
Many of the activities are free too, and while there will be food vans and BBQ's available, people are welcome to bring their own picnic and just enjoy the atmosphere in a beautiful setting.
However, an exciting addition to this year's festival is the live music by award-winning Australian singer-songwriters Leah Briggs from Beachport, The Austins from Horsham, and Mick Harrington from Gippsland, who will entertain you from 1-7pm on Sunday.
Leah Briggs
Leah Briggs is a country music artist whose heartfelt songs and powerful voice have earned her recognition throughout Australia’s country music scene.
Performing as a solo artist, Leah has built her career on authenticity, emotional storytelling, and a lifelong passion for music that began in her teenage years.
Leah’s talent was evident early on. In 2003, she was awarded a scholarship to Camerata College in Tamworth, allowing her to study and perform in Australia’s country music capital.
The following year, she claimed the title of South Australian Senior Champion of Champions, an esteemed accolade that led to performances at the Tamworth Buttercup Concert and the Trans-Tasman Competition on Norfolk Island.
She went on to become a grand finalist in the Telstra Road to Tamworth competition in both 2004 and 2005, establishing herself as one of South Australia’s rising stars.
Over the years, she has also shared the stage with a diverse range of respected artists, including Adam Harvey, Troy Cassar-Daley, Daryl Braithwaite, Melinda Schneider, Andrew Clermont, and Bill Chambers.
In 2015, Leah released an EP recorded and produced by Bill Chambers and Texas songwriter Robyn Ludwick. The collection showcases her original songs and distinctive vocals, a body of work that highlights her unique blend of honesty, strength, and storytelling.
The Austins
Music has always been an integral part of both Candice and Rohan’s lives.
Performing from a very young age alongside her identical twin, Nadinne, Candice has a wealth of experience in performing and songwriting.
Many will remember the sweet harmonies and heartfelt performances of Candice and Nadinne, who released two albums and received several impressive awards along the way.
Their second album, Breaking It Down, was recorded in Nashville with Mark Moffatt in 2009, an experience they will never forget.
Rohan has been passionate about music since starting his first band, Outrage, in high school as a drummer and singer.
After nearly 20 years together, Rohan’s love for playing in his Aussie pub band eventually enticed Candice to join him on stage.
They quickly discovered how much they loved singing together, and just like that, the country music duo The Austins was born.
Now based in Horsham, Candice and Rohan balance family life with their shared passion for writing and performing music.
Their songs reflect real stories, real experiences, and the life they are building together.
In 2020, they were finalists in the Aristocrat Country Entertainers of the Year at the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
The Austins have released two original singles produced by Golden Guitar–winning producer Matt Fell, Back Road Bus Stop and Home.
Their music showcases a contemporary country sound, blending Candice’s sweet, soulful vocals with Rohan’s rocky edge.

Mick Harrington
Mick Harrington hails from Gippsland and is an Australian country-folk singer-songwriter whose unmistakable voice and heartfelt storytelling first caught the nation’s attention on The Voice Australia, where his raw talent, authenticity, and emotional performances made him a standout favourite.
Since then, Mick has carved out a reputation as one of regional Australia’s most genuine musical storytellers.
Over the years, Mick has shared stages with some of the country’s most iconic artists, including Kasey Chambers, Frankie J Holden, and a host of other Australian music legends.
His warm presence and bush-bred sincerity have made him a sought-after support act and a regular feature at festivals and venues across the nation.
From coastal towns to inland communities, Mick has toured extensively, bringing his songs and the stories behind them to audiences right across Australia.
Beyond the spotlight, Mick is deeply rooted in rural life.
A proud Gippslander, he has long used his platform to stand up for regional communities and champion people whose stories often go unheard.
