Passionate scrapbookers flocked to Warracknabeal Racecourse over the weekend for the two-day Scrapping Addiction's Bi-Annual craft weekend, coming from as far as Ballarat, Mildura, Horsham, Ararat, Dimboola, Birchip, Rainbow and Warracknabeal and in between.
Committee member Jenny Stewart said scrapbooking is a creative and fun activity for all ages, even in our fast-paced digital world.
"It's all about creating our own personalised scrapbook pages to put in albums," she said.
"It remains a popular way of preserving precious photos."
Over the weekend, 25 scrappers were inspired by new kits, papers, embellishments and supplies from guest retailer Create Craft, and had the oppotunity to create many beautiful page layouts using pastels and bright, vibrant colors which, when photos were applied, made for a visually spectacular layout.
"Card making was also popular (over the weekend) with many people making beautiful birthday and Christmas cards using stamps, embossing and die cuts," Ms Stewart said.
"Mini albums of all shapes and sizes also proved popular as it's a fun way of using up leftover papers and embellishments to create a special album for a loved one.
"Included in the albums are photo's, tags, pockets, ribbons, charms, and special wording."
Beading and canvas painting were among the activites enjoyed over the weekend, and wonderful chef, Brooke Holland, once again dished up a delicious and nourishing menu for scrappers to enjoy.
"Our weekend is more than an event, it's a wonderful experience enjoyed by all," Ms Stewart said.
