At a recent Machinery Museum meeting, members were treated to a talk about the early years of the Moline Plow Company in USA.

Ann Scott came up from Melbourne to tell us about her father's experiences while working for the company.

John Nelson Scott began working for the Moline Plow Company at Moline, Illinois, USA in 1919.

He worked for the Export Department and travelled extensively throughout South America selling Moline tractors and implements.

His travels took him to Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia and Columbia.

Ann had photos, taken more than 100 years ago, of the Moline factory and of her father demonstrating the tractors in various South American countries.

Members were very appreciative of Ann's visit and the information and photos she could add to the Museum's collection.
