Minyip and Warrack most affordable
Properties in the Wimmera are among the most affordable in Victoria - or in Minyip's case - Australia.
This is according to a new report "Best of the Best 2024" released yesterday by Core Logic, an independent, leading provider of property analytics and data.
Minyip came in at ninth in Australia's most affordable suburbs and was among the likes of Norsemam (Western Australia), coming in first with a median value of $80,289 and Rosebery (Tasmania), finishing in 10th, with a median value of $174,997.
There were 19 properties sold in Minyip from September 2023 to September 2024, with a median value of $173,002.
This median value made Minyip the most affordable suburb in Victoria to buy, while the most expensive suburb was Toorak, with a median value of $4,749,740.
There were plenty of other local towns to appear in the Top 10 most affordable suburbs in Victoria including:
- 2nd: Warracknabeal. 55 houses sold* with a median value of $204,374.
- 4th: Nhill. 50 houses sold* with a median value of $220,338.
