As the weekend's woeful weather turned to clear skies for Monday, December 2, the Wimmera's mid-week lawn bowlers were ready to soak up the summer warmth.

Bowlers took to the region's greens for round nine of the Wimmera Playing Area's 2024/25 summer season.

While in a close fight for second in the division one competition, Nhill's bowlers headed for Horsham to take on Coughlin Park.

Nhill's closest rivals, Horsham City, also hosted out-of-towners, with Kaniva making the trip in for the encounter.

Ladder-leaders Dimboola played on their home greens against Sunnyside.

Sunnyside's division two side also took to the road to take on Dimboola.

Also in division two, Coughlin Park's two sides clashed, while ladder-leaders Horsham City hosted Natimuk and Servicetown met Goroke Edenhope.

While rain on Saturday, November 30, saw plenty of sport called off, the bowlers played on.

Horsham Golf, Nhill, Coughlin Park and Sunnyside claimed division one victories.

Nhill and Horsham Golf also claimed division two wins.

In division three, Horsham City, Horsham Golf, Coughlin Park and Nhill each picked up wins.
