Max memorialised at Men's Shed

A plaque honouring the late Max Strauss has been erected by the Dimboola Men’s Shed Outdoor Group, and unveiled at a recent meeting.
Mr Strauss passed away on February 20, last year.
He was instrumental in the planning, financing and building of the men’s shed - without his persistence and drive, the sheds would not have been built.
Mr Strauss was also responsible for equipping the facility with various tools and electrical apparatus, and members of the Dimboola Men’s Outdoor Group expressed their appreciation of the role he played in their activities.
Mr Strauss will be remembered as a valuable member of the Dimboola community as a whole as well as specifically the Dimboola Men’s Outdoor Group.
A representative of the group asked his widow, Carole, to pull back the curtain to unveil the handsome plaque, which reads "Max Strauss Memorial Sheds 2022".
Following this, morning tea provided by Cathy Charlesworth and Pam Pohlner was enjoyed by the attendees.
Discussions during morning tea revealed that Mr Strauss was a wonderful family man and "a bloody good mate".
