Mates supporting mates

This Friday, May 8, come along to the Victoria Hotel for Mates Day. A statewide initiative of the Australian Hotels Association, it encourages locals “to head to their local pub and reconnect with a mate – or meet someone new.”

Owner, Stoph Pilmore said the goal was to address how “pubs play a critical role in reducing social isolation”. Money raised on the day will also contribute to charities supporting people experiencing homelessness, turning a simple catch-up into something that gives back.
