Visitors from Melbourne and Adelaide joined in the fun at the Dimboola Tower Market on Saturday.
Organiser Chan Ouy said women from the LGBTQIA group Meet in the Middle gathered in the town for the second year, having so much fun that they plan on returning again next year.
"We were lucky to have nice weather for the market which gave visitors not interested in sport an alternative," he said.
"DJ Dylan de Jong's music added another element to the day, offering visitors a nice atmosphere in which to socialise and reconnect with each other."
Mr Choy said the market atmosphere was vibrant with stallholders displaying a range of wares including soap and smallgoods.
"The aim is to create more things which make people feel welcome and attract visitors to the town," he said.
He said the inclusion of a DJ was an attempt to bring a "cool vibe" to the town.
