The Horsham Makers Gallery and Studio's annual Christmas market for 2024 drew a large crowd. Threatening rain held off, and the day was successful for the organisers and the 75 stallholders.

Even though earlier rain washed away the chalk-marked stall sites, everyone was set up quickly in time for shoppers.

"People know the market will have a variety of stalls, and also, the goods on sale will be good quality," Committee Member Tricia Arber said.

"Many stallholders regularly attend our market and people get to know who will be there for their favourite purchases."

The stalls offered quality hand-made or produced items ranging from skin care products to beauty products, handcrafts, olive oil, chutneys and jams, artwork, cards, jewellery, garden art, iron structures, wooden items and Christmas decorations, to name a few.

The coffee van and barbecue were kept busy feeding the busy shoppers.

Organisers said the gallery was also busy with record sales exceeding their expectations.

The Makers Gallery was established in the late 1990s and provides an outlet for more than 80 independent producers from around the region.

It is open Monday through Friday from 11am to 3pm and Saturdays from 10am to 12pm.

It is situated alongside the Horsham Library, 28 McLachlan Street, Horsham.
