Local kids learn to skate
Young skaters rolled into action at the Rainbow Skate Park on April 11, taking part in a school holiday activity called the Rainbow Skate Lesson.
Brothers Kolby and Tanner Bigham are skating through.
Led by instructor Renton Miller, the session introduced local children to basic skateboarding techniques and simple, safe ways to build their confidence on wheels.
Participants eagerly listened and practised as Miller demonstrated a range of beginner-friendly moves, offering tips on balance, stance, and momentum.

The free session, designed to encourage physical activity and skill-building during the school break, drew a strong turnout and enthusiastic support from families.
