Laharum Football and Netball Club celebrated their 100th-anniversary event at Laharum on the weekend.
The club members and past players had a great night celebrating, remembering, and catching up with old friends.
They had appointed club veterans to toss the coin at each game, which was an excellent way for them to participate on this special day.
Maggie Peucker, the youngest registered player, presented Lois McInnes, the oldest previous participant, with a bouquet. Lois also cut the celebratory cake, which current netballer Mel Ellfinson baked.
Tables were lined with memorabilia, and visitors could search through the articles, photos and trophies.
The senior Netball and Football players played in heritage jumpers that displayed the names of the past players over the last 100 years.
Between the seniors and the reserves game, all club members and supporters were asked to meet at a spot for a drone photo with the Grampians in the background.
Celebrations continued into the evening at the Horsham Golf Club, where the heritage jumpers were auctioned live and by secret ballot.
A memorial tribute was played that recognised the club members that have passed. These members were dearly remembered for their grateful contributions to the club.
Sunday was a littlemore subdued compared to the celebrationsthe previous day.
The time capsule was nearly overflowing, the visitor's book was signed, and a tree was planted to commemorate the 100 years of the Lahraum Football Netball Club.
It was a terrific weekend for the club, and the club appreciated all those members involved, not only those who helped stage on the weekend but also the members that have tirelessly worked for the last 100 years for the Red and the Blue.
