Brigade members and community supporters will spend Good Friday “tin rattling” across Horsham, with the brigade aiming to make this year its biggest fundraising effort yet.

Captain Marc Ampt said the brigade remained committed to the appeal and the work it supports.

“The Brigade is passionate about supporting the Good Friday Appeal and helping raise vital funds for sick children,” he said.

“We know it’s been a tough time for many, but every donation, big or small, makes a real difference.”

Horsham CFA raised $45,000 last year and aims to raise $50K this year.

Fire trucks and volunteers will head out from 9am and continue through to the afternoon, with residents encouraged to listen out for sirens as crews move through the streets.

The brigade said it would try to cover as much of Horsham as possible, but not every home may be reached on the day.

People who miss the collectors or are away can still support the appeal by dropping donations at the fire station on Hamilton Street from 8am.

CFA brigades will also be fundraising online for those who don't get a chance to donate in person.
