Lawn Bowlers hit semis, Finals push heats up for cricket and tennis
Finals fever hits Horsham sports.
Saturday, February 15 may have provided Horsham's sports stars with a welcome reprieve from the summers intense heat but finals fever hit and kept the competition hot.
The strong winds didn't keep the Wimmera Playing Area weekend division one lawn bowlers from kicking off their post season.
Dimboola Bowling Club hosted the weekend division one contests, with Coughlin Park taking on Horsham Golf, and Nhill meeting Horsham City.
On the cricket pitches, Bullants looked for the outright victory against Homers at Noradjuha Recreation Reserve.
Horsham Saints were chasing West Wimmera's first innings score of 270 at Coughlin Park.
Horsham Tigers also sought extra points for the outright win on the road against Lubeck Murtoa, and Colts denied Laharum's bid for the outright win.
Meanwhile Horsham Lawn hosted Drung South in the Central Wimmera Tennis Association's pennant division and St Michaels travelled to Kalkee.
HCA and CWTA both have one round remaining in their regular seasons.
