Laundromat fire 'devastating'

Emergency services responded to reports of a fire inside the Warracknabeal Laundromat on Scott Street at 9.35pm last Thursday.
Woodbine's deputy chief executive Jo Tobias said the laundry service was owned and operated by their service, and provided supported emplyment for program participants.
"We are devastated by the loss this is for the community, laundromat staff and participants," she said.
"The outcome of an official investigation on Friday deemed the fire accidental, but at this stage we don't know when the Laundromat will be up and running again.
"We have been in touch with all of our commercial clients, we have many accomodations and businesses who use our laundry services, to help them find alternatives for now."
Three Country Fire Authority Warracknabeal brigade vehicles attending the scene on Thursday night, along with Victoria Police, and battled the fire before deeming it under control at 9.59pm.
Local fire crews remaining on scene until 10.14pm while Yarriambiack Shire Council workers secured the scene.
A spokesperson for Victoria Police said the fire was not being treated as suspicious, with CFA investigators later ruling the fire an accident.
