This is a fantastic and rather cherished old homestead on about 40 acres just 7km from Horsham.
"It's a beautifully restored period home, and these are few and far between on land this size with good shedding," agent Chris Schirmer said.
"It has high ceilings, pressed tin and other nice features. They just don't build them that way anymore."
As such, when a house or homestead is clearly from a particular period, it's not easy to extend it without the work being obvious.
The solution applied in this case - quite some time ago - was bringing in a large portion of a similar period home to attach and then carefully matching as many details as possible during the renovation. They even went to the trouble of tracking down appropriate electrical switches.
