Landcare forum is the bee's knees

In celebration of World Bee Day on Monday May 20, Horsham District Landcare Network and Horsham Urban Landcare, together with Wheen Bee Foundation, are holding a bee and pollinator forum.
Landcare facilitator Annie Hobby said World Bee Day was an annual event to raise awareness of the importance of bees for food security, biodiversity and ecosystem health.
"World Bee Day is an opportunity to put bees at the centre of the national conversation for a day and encourage actions that create more bee-friendly landscapes," Ms Hobby said.
"Our three speakers will present on native bees and other pollinators found in our area, where to get information about different species and how to plant a pollinator-friendly garden."
"We'll have a selection of native plants available for participants to take away to start their pollinator-friendly garden."
The forum, which is free, is at Horsham Neighbourhood House from 6pm to 8pm.
