Laharum win big despite valiant fight from Harrow Balmoral | HDFNL round 17
Laharum beat Harrow Balmoral in round 17 of the HDFNL.
In round 17 of the HDFNL A grade netball, the unbeaten Laharum showed why they are the league's top team despite a valiant fight from the Harrow Balmoral Southern Roos.
Victory was always going to prove a tough task for Harrow Balmoral, the side sits in last on the HDFNL ladder after recording only one win this season, but, the Southern Roos showed considerable fight.

Laharum won the match at Harrow Recreation Reserve 76-37.
"[Harrow Balmoral] has improved a lot since the first time we played them," said Laharum's coach Bec McIntyre.
Pleased with victory, McIntyre's main focus of this game was preparing for finals.
"Obviously we won the game, but for us, it was about our strategies," she said.
"We're trying to play for finals, we're setting our goals for what we want to have, we're trying to bleed everyone into their positions because we've got that deep rotation with our team.
"[We're] trying to work on different combinations, giving everyone a good opportunity to play, so that we're ready for finals."
Laharum took some time to take control of the game, Harrow Balmoral looked more than up to the fight from the first centre pass, the side kept pace with the Demons and at times led the ladder leaders.
But, once the Demons took control, the side raced away.
"We just tried to rush a little bit," said McIntyre.
"We do like to play a fast paced game, so sometimes when we have made changes, people just aren't at that point [and] we've got to just bring it back and slow it down.
"A lot of times, it's about us and out mistakes."
Laharum kept Harrow Balmoral to only eight goals in the second quarter, and seven in the fourth.
A third quarter surge saw Harrow Balmoral keep pace with the Demons for a period of the game, but while 20-goals behind, the Southern Roos were unable to close the gap.
Caitlin Jones-Story flexed her goal shooting muscle once again, scoring 55 of Laharum's 76 goals and being named best alongside Liv Jones-Story.
The Noradjuha Quantong Bombers have claimed a major victory in round 17 of the HDFNL, beating Rupanyup 38-36 and taking the fight for second place on the ladder to the final round.
Noradjuha Quantong held a narrow margin at the quarter time, and both sides were inseparable at the second and third break, but when it mattered, the Bombers held a two-goal advantage.
Stawell's Swifts have kept its slime finals hopes alive by claiming the upset victory against Edenhope Apsley in round 17.
The Baggies came from behind to defeat the Saints after trailing by seven goals at three-quarter time to win 45-43.
Kaniva Leeor United could have eliminated the Swifts with victory, but it wasn't to be as the Cougars fell to Kalkee 60-54.
KLU led for the first half but a 16-goal third quarter and 19-goal fourth saw the Kees surge away.
And, the Pimpinio Tigers beat Taylors Lake 70-32.
