Laharum aim for four in a row
Laharum’s men’s senior football side are hoping to carry their momentum into Saturday’s clash with Taylors Lake in round 10 of the Horsham District Football Netball League.
The Demons have won three consecutive games, with their most recent game being a decisive 108-30 victory against Edenhope Apsley.
Laharum’s recent form has boosted them to third on the ladder, and a fourth straight win could see them move into the top two.
Robbie Miller, coach of Laharum, says the team are making some tweaks to their game in the lead-up to the match.
“We'll address a few things that the leadership group has spoken about, including what we need to address at training,” Miller said.
“We'll implement a few drills to try and sharpen the pencil on a few things - hopefully, with our ball movement and execution of a few things.”
Miller spoke of the team’s dedication and their desire to continue rising.
“It's a great group to coach because they absorb everything like a sponge,” Miller said.
“They're a group that wants to continually improve and they want to get better.
“They've got a thirst for success now, and hopefully Shannon (Argall) and I can continue leading in the right direction so we can get the rewards.”
Taylors Lake returns to action after an extended two-week break from the long weekend break and a round nine bye.
The Lakers are currently eighth, but will head into Saturday feeling refreshed and motivated to challenge an in-form Laharum outfit.
The break has also allowed Taylors Lake to return to close to full strength, including coach Justin Beugelaar, who is a possibility to return on Saturday.
