Kids celebrate Halloween spookfest as trick-or-treaters filled the streets
Countless filled the streets to celebrate Halloween.
Reports have been heard of sightings all over Horsham in Thursday, October 31, from the ghostly and ghoulish, to the downright wacky.
But, fear not, The Wimmera Mail-Times can confirm most of those spooks weren't things that go bump in the night, but kids, who flocked to the streets, trick-or-treating bucket in hand, to celebrate Halloween.
From evergreen Halloween classics of ghosts, pumpkins and face painted tigers, to their favourite pop-culture icons like Spider-Man, Alice in Wonderland and Wednesday Addams, creativity was top class.
With Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the sequel to Michael Keaton 1988 classic a recent arrival at the box office, Jimmy Tucker and Lonnie Jackson took note.
But, not content after reciting his name three times, they doubled down and summoned the character twice.
From Horsham north, all the way to the river, the city was filled with trick-or-treaters revelling in the spooktacle, following a map developed by the Horsham Trick-or-treaters FaceBook page of about 80 locations participating in the fun.
