Kannamaroo is a free entry festival of fun and entertainment and it's on Saturday, November 23 and Sunday, November 24.

After a fantastic program on Saturday, there is still more to enjoy on Sunday with many free activities.

Saturday kicks off with a Wimmera River Park Run at Sawyer Park - run, walk or jog - how ever you want to do it you are welcome to join in and enjoy the river and parkland sites along the way.

It is a great way to start the day with family and friends and be ready for the carnival rides and amusement at the Horsham Showgrounds from 10am to 10pm.

Entertainment with The Filos will begin at 6pm with family bingo, music and dancing and plenty of mobile food vendors and drink stalls to tempt your taste buds.

An important attraction to Kannamaroo Festival this year is everyone can enjoy it because there is a sensory nook for people who need a quiet space amid the activity.

"Sensory spaces are becoming increasingly popular, at home, in school and in community spaces. We all need breaks, but some children and adults need ''sensory strategies with daily activities to help self-regulate," said Alma from Beyond Community Inclusions.

BCI has created a sensory space and individual sensory nooks in the poultry shed at the Kannamaroo Festival.

This large space will have sensory information available along with a dress up area, games and activities and a variety of so much more.

An occupational therapist will be available to chat regarding sensory processing and the importance of recognising sensory processing disorder.

Organisers have included the sensory nook this year so that families and individuals can be a part of the festival and enjoy it like everyone else.

The day will end with a bang literally with a fireworks spectacular and again this is free entry event.
