Juniors involved in science experiments
Rainbow P-12 College juniors from Prep to Grade six became scientists last week as they conducted science tests with their classmates under the supervision of their teacher.

Prep to Year 2 students continued to build their knowledge of mixtures by testing how much water was needed to mix into sand to make a sandcastle.
Last week, Year 3 and 4 students learnt about mixtures, as they focused on recycling objects as mixtures.
They also conducted a challenge where participants had to fold a piece of paper to make it stronger, and then they stacked weights on it to see if it would hold.
Year 5 and 6 students focused on solids, liquids, and gases, and tested whether gases have mass and how they can mix solids (such as lemons and sugar) and liquids (like water) together to form lemonade.
