Heeding the theme of the Jeparit Reconnect weekend, current and former residents took advantage of Sunday's mild weather to catch up with friends and loved ones at the 125th Jeparit Show.
President Yolande Hutson said there was a real buzz in the air as visitors reminisced about past shows while enjoying all that the 2023 event had to offer.
"Member for Lowan and Nationals Deputy Leader Emma Kealy officially opened the show as patrons enjoyed coffee and the usual show fare of donuts, hot chips and ice cream and the A&P Society catered for 120 people at a sitdown lunch," Ms Hutson said.
"The pavilions smelled delightful with the abundance of roses, cut flowers and plentiful iris entries again this year.
"Also well supported was the poultry pavillion, receiving more than 90 entries.
Puppeteer Professor Wallace, who has been attending the Jeparit Show for many years, again performed for young and old alike, as did Jamie and Kim's Mobile Zoo and Parker's Mini Circus.
"We had kid goats in the animal nursery that enjoyed the pats and cuddles from the children, there was an abundance of show bags to choose from and Rob’s Carriages was busy giving visitors rides back and forth around town all day," Ms Hutson said.
Jeff Woodward entertained the crowd with his music, including playing for the long queue of people who awaited their turn in the extremely popular harvest simulator.
"This was my 11th year as president and it was very rewarding to have so many wonderful comments about the day," Ms Hutson said.
