It's a kind of magic - Scrapbookers celebrate
Scrapbooking enthusiasts from across the state spent the weekend at the Warracknabeal Racecourse catching up and creating beautiful pages with their many projects. The 30 scrappers from Melbourne, Horsham, Ararat, Maryborough, Birchip, Rainbow...
Scrapbooking enthusiasts from across the state spent the weekend at the Warracknabeal Racecourse catching up and creating beautiful pages with their many projects.
The 30 scrappers from Melbourne, Horsham, Ararat, Maryborough, Birchip, Rainbow, Mildura, Natimuk, Dimboola and Warracknabeal and districts, worked on page layouts, cards, mini albums, beading, and painting on canvas.
Scrapping Addiction committee member Jenny Stewart said the biannual event gives scrappers the opportunity to spend time with old friends, make new friends, and share ideas and inspiration for their hobby.
Ms Stewart said so much pride was taken by the scrappers, with every kind of project imaginable welcome over the weekend.
“Some of our excited Scrappers added a touch of magic to their layouts with photos taken by family members who attended the live production in Melbourne of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,” she said.
“Amanda from Rainbow’s Mallee Magic was in attendance with a beautiful and plentiful supply of scrapbooking papers, embellishments, paints and cards - much to the enjoyment of scrappers to add to their supply.”
Mallee Magic’s Amanda Sluggett said she was happy to give people the opportunity to buy items which they wouldn’t normally have access to.
As well as Harry Potter other popular layout themes included School, Birthday, Family Celebrations and Heritage.
An amazing array of food was cooked and served up by Warracknabeal’s Brooke Holland.
“It was an amazing and magical weekend with so much fun and fellowship by all who attended,” said Mrs Stewart.
“Their work is all beautifully designed and finished with embellishments and journaling to document special aspects of their lives.”
