Industrial Incident: man dies after emergency rescue at Laharum
Laharum death following reports a man was trapped

Police will prepare a report for the coroner following the death of a man following a rescue on private property in Laharum on January 31, 2025.
It is believed the man was pinned under a trailer at a property on Winfields Road.
A police spokesperson said, "The 74-year-old man was airlifted to hospital in a critical condition but has died.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious," they said.

Emergency services were called to Winfields Road in Laharum at 8:24pm on Friday, January 31, for an industrial trap rescue after reports a person was trapped.
The Laharum CFA, Ambulance Victoria, SES and Victoria Police attended the incident.
A spokesperson for the CFA said, "Two Laharum CFA units alongside the SES responded to reports of a rescue at around 8.24pm on January 31. Ambulance Victoria and Victoria Police were also called to the scene."
A Victorian Ambulance spokesperson said, "Paramedics were called to an incident in Laharum around 8:20pm January 31 and one person was airlifted to the Alfred Hospital in a critical condition.
"Crews worked to safely extricate a person.
"The Incident was deemed under control at 8.57pm and safe at 9.15pm.
