The NAIDOC Week Indigenous Round was celebrated during round 12 of the WFNL before the reserves game at City Oval.

The Acknowledgement to Country was read to the players, officials and supporters by each netball and football junior captain.

Before the Reserves game, seniors and reserves of Horsham Demons and Dimboola Roos also participated.

Players gathered with officials for a smoking ceremony performed by BGLC Laurie Norman and a Welcome to Country by Ash Hopper.

Damien Skurrie addressed the players and supporters about the game and the Goodes Cup, and the cup was presented after the senior game.

Indigenous flags were raised in the morning, and complimentary passes were provided for the community to attend Saturday's commemorative game.
