The Makers' Gallery and Studio in Horsham is Christmas ready
The Makers Gallery and Studio in Horsham looks like a Christmas wonderland with trees, angels, decorations, and gifts ready for early shoppers and overseas and interstate posting.
The Makers Gallery offers shoppers quality handmade items, including paintings, artwork, photographs, Christmas decorations, jewellery, bathroom items, and more.
"People are already shopping for Christmas," committee member Liz Minne said.
"There has been a real emphasis on Christmas Trees among our makers this year and I'm sure people will find a gift or a decoration for their own homes among the many items we have in stock."
"There are so many light items that will keep the postage costs down, too, so anyone who has family and friends they need to post a gift to, we have many to choose from."
The items stocked by the gallery have to meet a high standard, and shoppers can be assured their purchases are well made. Many are one-offs.
Artist Alison Norton said she enjoys painting, an activity she has returned to in recent years, and also volunteers once a month at the gallery.
"If you see something you like, it is important to purchase it then because so many of our items are one-offs, and you can miss out if you don't buy when you see it," Ms Minne said.
The Makers' Christmas Market will be held on Saturday, December 7, from 9am to 1pm in the adjoining car park, 28 -- 32 McLachlan Street Horsham, and there are still sites available.
"We'd like people to book as soon as possible so we can plan," Ms Minne said.
"But so far it's looking good."
Products must be locally hand-made or produced and be of a high standard with an emphasis on special, unique arts and crafts.
"It is our Christmas Market, so we encourage stall holders to favour Christmas fare," she said.
Site fees are $40, trestle hire is $10, and stallholders must have their own public liability insurance and a copy of their Food Registration if applicable.
