Horsham Rural City Council's mayor's Christmas message to the community
Mayor Ian Ross' Christmas message to the Horsham community.
As Christmas Eve approaches, Cr Ross said he extended a warm greeting from the councillor team to everyone in the Horsham Rural City Council community for the festive season 2024.
"I hope and trust that all your time spent with family and friends over the Christmas and New Year period is filled with many joyous memories," the mayor.
"In Australia, Christmas has traditionally been a time to celebrate the birth of Christ, reflect on our blessings and share.
"We are fortunate to have the freedom to celebrate this time, as some parts of the world are living in challenging times.
"But whatever our circumstances, let us think of others and give of ourselves to help those in need and to help out when we can.
"Thank you to those who have to work in essential services over Christmas; we applaud you.
"May God bless this beautiful municipality with a wonderful festive season.
"I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happy and safe New Year."
