Horsham Council's successful Summer Series extravaganza draws large crowd
Horsham Rural City Council Summer Series drew crowds to Riverbank
The return of the Horsham Rural City Council's Summer Series on Saturday, December 14, drew a large crowd to the Wimmera Riverfront for an evening of entertainment, food trucks, live music, tree lighting, animal zoo and market stalls.
The extravaganza was the perfect family event to welcome the Christmas spirit.
Beginning at 5 p.m., the event got off to a great start with the weather providing a warm summer evening for the event.
Local artist Prue Heard entertained the crowd with some of her original songs, while food trucks provided a variety of food and drinks.
Market stalls included the very popular face-painting with parents and children happy to wait in line for the experience.
The mini-golf course was popular, and the arrival of Santa, promises of Christmas morning gifts and photos with Santa completed the fun for children while families relaxed on the lawns of the new Riverfront complex.
