Horsham College's chaplaincy book fair is set to return again in 2024 on Friday, October 25 and Saturday, October 26.

"Luckily Horsham College's Chaplaincy Book Fair comes around twice a year," said Horsham College's chaplain Yolande Grosser.

"The provision of pre-loved books would likely overwhelm the organising committee otherwise."

The bi-annual event will once agains fill the College's Maroske Hall with thousands of books available for purchase at $1 each.

"Contributions constantly flow in, with student support to move them to the sorting area and set-up the hall before the big event," Ms Grosser said.

"Chaplaincy volunteers sort the books into categories and hardworking service clubs including Rotary and Apex help pack up when the general public have shopped to their heart's content."

The money raised by the chaplaincy book contributes to the wage of Ms Grosser, who works with students at the college four days a week providing a brekky hub, for faith lunchtime group, special events management and one on one assistance with the everyday struggles of staff and students.

"With only cash and coin payment accepted, the chaplaincy committee encourage you to grab your moneybox and come along to grab a great read," Ms Grosser said.

The chaplaincy book fair will run from 12-9pm on Friday, October 25, before opening up again from 9am until noon on Saturday, October 26.
