Horsham City, Coughlin Park stay undefeated in Wimmera bowls round four
Horsham City 1 edges Sunnyside 1 to stay in first place.
Horsham City 1 and Coughlin Park 1 are neck and neck after winning their fourth match in a row to start the 2024-25 Wimmera Playing Area's Division 1 Weekend bowls competition.
Playing with tennis and cricket on either side, Coughlin Park defeated Goroke/Edenhope 1 14-2 (77-52) winning two rinks to one.
Meanwhile, Sunnyside 1 hosted Horsham City with cricket playing next door; while Homers got up against the Bullants, the lawn bowlers could not replicate the feat, going down 13-3 (66-64).
Horsham Golf remains in the race after it defeated Dimboola, taking all three rinks to win 16-0 (81-56).
The side now sits third, just four points behind Coughlin Park 1.
Nhill travelled to Kaniva and came home with a 16-0 (86-59). They remain in fourth place.
This weekend, Sunnyside 1 looks to bounce back when it travels to Goroke to play Goroke/Edenhope 1.
Dimboola hosts Coughlin Park, while Nhill hosts Horsham Golf 1.
Kaniva makes the trip up the highway to take on ladder leaders Horsham City 1.
