Homelessness display planned
Wimmera Homelessness Alliance (WHA) will host a public information display in Horsham on August 8 from 11am to 2pm as part of Homelessness Week.
Homelessness Week runs from Monday August 5 to Sunday August 11 with this year's theme "Homelessness action now".
WHA's public information display will aim to raise awareness around this progressive issue.
"It gives the public the opportunity to learn about what we do," WHA network co-ordinator Michelle Twigger said.
Homelessness and family violence agencies, Uniting Vic Tas, The Salvation Army, Wintringham and Grampians Community Health joined together to create WHA.
The alliance provides support to those experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness across the region.
WHA's key priorities are young people and people fleeing family violence.
The information display will be set up on the corner of Roberts Avenue and Firebrace Street.
Donations will also be accepted.
