Henley on Lake Wallace is a family festival held on the second weekend of February on the shores of Lake Wallace and crowds turned out on Saturday, February 9, under clear skies and the promise of a fun-filled event.

The fun and games began with a parade through the main street where the various floats provided a backdrop for the weird, the wonderful and sometimes political.

The parade stopped traffic and allowed the public a second chance to enjoy the effort put into the decorated floats and messages displayed on some of them as the parade circled the street on the way to the lake.

Football and Netball Clubs decorated floats, the massage float stopped and offered their services in front of the hotel and the public lining the street was often sprayed with water, foam or if you're were lucky you received a spray of sweets.

It was an action-packed event that continued to the lake with entertainment, stalls and fireworks at night.
