Two community groups have joined the list of locations offering a 24-hour accessible Automatic Emergency Defibrillator (AED) - one on the right hand side of the main entrance to the Rotary Club office in Scott Street, next to the NAB, and the other filling a gap on the western side of town.
Warracknabeal Neighbourhood House and Learning Centre manager Karen Fuller said she was pleased with their new acquisition, which is secured under the verandah to the right hand side of the main entrance doors at 2 Cox Street.
“A defibrillator has been on our wish list for quite some time,” she said.
“We are incredibly grateful for the very kind and generous donation from local residents.
“Diane and Chris Cooper recognised the importance for Warracknabeal residents in this area of our town to have 24-hour access to a defibrillator and helped us make it happen.
“Although we hope we never need to use it, there is peace of mind knowing it is available if required".
