HDFNL gears up for grand final with 22 teams to play off for glory
The HDFL heads to Stawell's North Park for the 2024 grand finals.
On Saturday, September 14, the HDFNL will descend on Stawell's North Park for the culmination of 18 weekends of winter sport, and three more of finals action.
Twenty-two teams from nine different clubs will compete for 11 premiership trophies.
In the senior football, victory would see Harrow Balmoral secure a second straight unbeaten HDFNL premiership, a feat last achieved by the Southern Mallee Giants, who after merging with Jeparit Rainbow, are fighting for a position in WFNL grand final.
Standing opposite the Southern Roos is Noradjuha Quantong.
After suffering a 100-point defeat against the Southern Roos in the two club's previous encounter, the Bombers are hungry to show their supporters how much the side has improved since and finish off their late season surge in victory.

In the A grade netball, Rupanyup makes its first grand final appearance in decades and expects to see the physical fight against Laharum.
The Demons are no strangers to grand final pressure, having played in the last five, and will hope their experience proves valuable.
Also in the football, Laharum takes on Swifts in the reserves grand final, and the Demons joint under 17s effort alongside Harrow Balmoral takes on the undefeated defending premiers Pimpinio, and the Tigers' under 17 side has not lost a game since 2021.
In the under 14 fixture, Noradjuha Quantong defends its 2023 premiership against Edenhope Apsley.
Football action kicks off at 8:30 am, with seniors to take the field for a 2:40pm start.
On the netball court, Kalkee takes on Laharum in the day's opener, getting things started with the 13 and under game at 9:00am.
Kalkee's red and blue will stay on court through the morning, with the club's 15 and under, and 17 and under sides both contesting grand finals against Rupanyup and Pimpinio respectively.
After the 12:00pm A grade fixture, Kalkee returns to the court to take on Natimuk United in the B grade, and Noradjuha Quantong in the C reserve.
