Toby Haynes has nominated for HRCC in the Pine Lake Ward in the October elections
I am excited to announce my candidacy for the local Horsham Rural City Council in the Pine Lake Ward.
I am driven by a deep commitment to making our community the best it can be.
Living on a picturesque 10-acre property in Haven I have come to deeply appreciate the unique charm and potential that Horsham offers.
My professional background in the corporate side of Victoria Police, working in the projects division, has equipped me with a strong skill set in strategic planning and efficient project management.
These skills would be crucial for working collaboratively with fellow councillors and council staff to ensure optimal outcomes for our community.
Currently employed by Horsham College and in my previous role at Wimmera Lutheran College I contribute to a range of community building activities.
Both roles have enabled me to stay connected with the community, to understand its needs and aspirations firsthand.
One of my key motivations for running for council is to bring a fresh perspective and a new dynamic to our local government.
I believe it is crucial to genuinely listen to our community's diverse voices, ensuring that their concerns and ideas are reflected in council's decision-making processes.
By doing so, we can foster a more inclusive and responsive council that truly serves the needs of all residents.
I would be dedicated to representing the interests of working citizens, ensuring that their voices and their needs are not overlooked.
My commitment is to work hard and smart to help our council reach its full potential, fostering a cohesive unit that delivers exceptional results for our community.
