The Warracknabeal Patchwork ladies are once again leading the way with their generosity.
They have been making quilts for the young patients at the Royal Childrens' Hospital for many years, but the group found themselves with a bit of a backlog due to Covid so contacted the Yarriambiack Shire Council for advice.
Council advised that the group could gift six of the quilts to the shire's Kindergarten Parent Advisory Groups.
Council’s manager family, youth and children Elysia Preston was at the Warracknabeal Band Scout Hall on Tuesday to receive the quilts.
Last year, members of the patchworking group also made a quilt and raffled it off, raising $860 for flood victims in Lismore, New South Wales.
They also knit and croquet teddy bears, beanies, rugs and other goods for charities.
