Golden Guitar winner inspires students
Tom Curtain is an award-winning Australian country music artist, entertainer and horseman who has turned his talent and attention to reaching children with a message of kindness and care.

He visited St Mary's Primary School on Thursday, 26.
"It was a great privilege to have a special visit and performance from Tom Curtain, multi Golden Guitar Award Winner and an Ambassador for ‘Dolly’s Dream’, visit St Mary's," Principal Julie Leonard said.
"He was joined by music performers, songwriters and singers, Laura Frank and Chris Matthews."
The students had a lot of fun singing, dancing and cutting some fine dance moves whilst being encouraged to follow Dolly’s Dream and stop the culture of bullying in Australia.
"The message was clear, ‘Speak Up even if your voice shakes, Ms Leonard said.
The students who took part in the show with Tom were presented with special awards for contributing to the message of stopping bullying.
"It was really cool to dance and I was so happy to win a CD," Rocco said.
Bronte said she was really excited to see Tom Curtain.
"I knew the words to some of his songs and I won a CD for singing," she said.
And IslaI said, "I know Tom Curtain's music really well because I watch him on YouTube. I can't wait to see his concert at the Showgrounds. His CD is great."
Tom's school show is adapted to the age group he is addressing, and the children loved it. I was pleased to see that many of the children were already aware of his program through the internet and see that his message about stopping bullying is really reachng our young people," Ms Leonard said.
