One of the region's longest-running festivals is on track to return during the last weekend of November.

Kannamaroo, which has been ongoing for over 40 years, is expected to draw big crowds, with Maydale Reserve and Horsham Showgrounds hosting activities from November 24-26.

Festival committee president Di Bell said people could look forward to a fun family outing.

“The festival is about getting out, doing things and living again,” she said.

“It’s exciting to be back with this one - and it’s an activity that doesn’t cost too much money.”

The festival has something for all age groups, including food trucks, a licensed area, music and food.

A disco for youngsters will be held on Saturday afternoon at the Maydale Reserve, with a cultural community concert and band later on.

On Sunday, there will be a car and bike show, children’s musical bingo and a painting workshop - which will include painting old cars.

“Anyone who wants to be involved can contact us through email at kannamaroo@gmail.com,” Ms Bell said.
