'Followed it to a tee'; McKenzie, Hornets claim comfortable home win

The Horsham Hornets have continued its winning ways in round eight of the CBL after a 95-70 win against Terang on Sunday, November 24.
Austin McKenzie top-scored for the home side with 20 points, whilst young gun Micah Livingstone had 18.
McKenzie was pleased with the teams performance in the strong win.
"It was a credited to [coach Scott Benbow] he did some scouting before the game, so we knew what we had to look out for. We just followed [the game-plan] to a tee," McKenzie said post match.
The former Owen Hughan Medallist praised his sides defence as it limited the Tornadoes to 10 points in the first quarter, whilst Jake Hobbs had a strong start on the offensive end.
"We started off in a man [defence] and we obviously got a few stops, but we identified most of them weren't great three point shooters," he said.
"Obviously they hit a few [shots] in the end. But for the most part, that's what really set our game up."
McKenzie also praised Livingstone and the squad's remaining young talent.
"Micah was on fire too, he's unstoppable inside," McKenzie said.
"Our bigs just connect so well together under the ring and just create so many open looks from three as well."
The 25-point win capped off another successful double-header for the Hornets following a 89-68 victory against Portland on the road.
McKenzie (21) and Livingstone (20) top-scored.
Horsham enters its last game of the regular season against Ararat on Sunday, December 1, on top of the South West men's ladder.
