Described as "a transformative project designed to elevate the region’s tourism offerings through professional imagery", the project is partnering with GWMT with local operators to provide high-quality visual content to showcase the unique beauty, attractions and experiences that define the Wimmera Mallee.

With 47 photoshoots planned across the region, the project will capture everything from dramatic
landscapes to charming local businesses, including Lake Tyrrell Tours, Nhill Aviation Heritage and Mallee Bush Retreats.

Behind the lens, local photographer Jackie Peacock of JP Creative has crafted a visual narrative to bring the region to life.

These professionally curated images will give tourism operators the tools to engage potential visitors by presenting the Wimmera Mallee as a destination worth exploring.

“For many businesses, access to professional-quality visuals has been a long-standing challenge," Wimmera Mallee partnerships manager for GWMT, Ian Gumela, said.

"By breaking down this barrier we’re providing assets that will lay the groundwork for the Wimmera Mallee’s growing tourism identity, inspiring visitors to discover its beauty and charm firsthand.”

Ms Peacock described the experience as a career highlight.

“I’ve always dreamed of capturing tourism content, and I’m incredibly humbled GWMT chose me, a small operator from St Arnaud, for this project," she said.
