Farmer's relief over paraquat ruling
The potential links between Parkinson’s disease and the herbicide paraquat, along with the related chemical diquat, have been debated following a 30-year review.
Farmers are relieved over the APVMA's decision to allow the ongoing use of paraquat; however, concerns are being raised over the future of weed control with usage restrictions being introduced over a two-year phase-in.
