Family gathers to share memories
Once again, the family of Les and Cora Hill (née Werner), 21 in all, descended on Dimboola from Melbourne, Ballarat and Adelaide.
Four of Cora and Les‘s children - Corinne (Meakin) Rhonda (Huf), Noel, and Bronwyn - and their families, spent the first weekend of August enjoying the pleasant surroundings of the Dimboola Caravan Park.
The weather during the day was perfect, and sitting around the roaring fire at night was fantastic
A short, enjoyable visit to the Tiny Goats Farm was included in the activities, plus checking out the main street shops on Saturday.
The family enjoyed scrumptious food from the Dimboola Cafe on Friday evening - Nigel’s fish and chips never disappoint - and on Saturday evening, they all enjoyed a delicious meal at the Victoria Hotel.
We laughed a lot and remembered heaps about growing up together.
On Sunday, they visited the Dimboola Cemetery to visit family members resting in the well-maintained cemetery.
Next year’s Dimboola Family Get Together is booked for May 16, so hopefully more family members can attend.
