Expo hooks crowds in Horsham
Visitors explored a diverse selection of fishing gear and outdoor camping products at the Australian Fishing & Outdoor Expo in Horsham on March 7.
Organiser Peter Fedke noted that, despite increased cost-of-living pressures, the event attracted strong attendance.
“Everyone seemed happy with the range on offer,” he said.
“We had exhibitors travel nine hours to be a part of the show, and the feedback showed people enjoyed the quality that was on offer.”
Held at the Horsham Greyhound Racing Club, Mr Fedke said he was pleased to see the next generation of anglers were enjoying the expo.
“The Lure learning project was a hit with the kids,” he said.
“You could see them having a great time, painting the lures and learning how to cast them.
“Cranky Croc Campers were well-liked, too.
“As the years go by, you can see the shift towards more outdoor products.”
While organisers will review this year’s expo in the coming weeks, Mr Fedke confirmed that planning for next year’s event has already begun.
“We’re always looking to incorporate locals as much as possible,” he said.
“We’re hoping to attract more Wimmera-based businesses to exhibit next year.”
