Edenhope look for upset
An improved performance against Rupanyup has Edenhope Apsley confident as they prepare to battle it out against Natimuk United this Saturday in round six of the Horsham District Football Netball League.
Edenhope Apsley have yet to record a win in five games, while Natimuk have one win and three losses.
Adi Campbell, coach of Edenhope Apsley, is optimistic about Saturday’s match-up.
“Fairly confident this weekend against Natimuk as we're building trust within the group,” Campbell said.
Natimuk enter the game off a round five bye but are likely to feel positive having defeated Rupanyup 80-60 for their first win back in round four.
William Taylor and Adrianne Lupton loom as key players for Natimuk, having kicked 11 and nine goals, respectively, and each receiving numerous best player votes.
Despite a poor start to the season marred by player unavailability, Edenhope are feeling good after their 90-66 loss to Rupanyup.
“Injuries and unavailability have hurt a lot in the first five rounds, and finding consistency and effort is the key going forward,” Campbell said.
“The players showed they are more than capable on Saturday, even with a number of senior players not available.”
